Welcome!
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I am so excited to be your Contemporary World Cultures teacher. My goal is to create a welcoming classroom where every student feels valued, respected, and excited to learn. I want my classroom to be a place where students are comfortable asking questions, exploring different cultures and perspectives, and developing a better understanding of the world around them. Together, we'll build meaningful connections while learning about the people, places, and events that shape our world today.
This will be my second year of teaching and my first year of coaching. In addition to teaching World Cultures, I will be coaching junior high volleyball, junior high basketball, and serving as an assistant softball coach. I am excited to build relationships with students both inside and outside of the classroom. I believe learning should be engaging, interactive, and fun, and I look forward to bringing history and geography to life through hands-on activities, discussions, and collaborative learning.
A little about me... I was born in College Station, Texas, and spent most of my childhood there before moving to El Campo for a few years. My family eventually settled in Weimar, where I graduated from Weimar High School. I later attended Texas A&M University (Whoop!) and am grateful to have the opportunity to teach and coach in the same community that helped shape who I am.
Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family and friends, and cheering on the Aggies. I also have two dogs, Maverick and Bronco, who definitely keep life entertaining! I feel incredibly fortunate to be back in Weimar and can't wait to get to know each of my students and their families.
I am looking forward to a wonderful school year filled with learning, growth, and new experiences. I can't wait to meet everyone and make this a great year!
