The WISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) was established by the WISD Board of Trustees to assist the District in meeting its strategic objectives to provide a healthy school environment for students, staff, and community members and teaching and promoting wellness through healthy lifestyles. The Board requires the majority of SHAC members to be non-District employees who are parents/guardians of students enrolled in WISD schools. The School Health Advisory Council acts in an advisory capacity to the Superintendent and Board of Trustees.
