ATTENDANCE: Texas Education Laws state that students must attend 90% of scheduled class meetings to receive credit for the course. Attendance is vital to your success in this class. In the event of an absence, it is the student’s responsibility to make contact with me to get the missed information and required work covered during the absence. In the event of an extended absence, please contact me at rmoreno@weimarisd.org.
PARENT CONFERENCES/CONTACT: I will contact parents throughout the year with positive and negative information. Please have your parents/guardians contact me at 979.725.9504 if there are any questions. My conference period is listed above under teacher schedule if a face-to-face conference is preferred.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: Since these activities are planned in advance, it is always easier to get your work ahead of time than to have to play catch up. You have Google classroom available to watch instructional videos as needed for missing class due to extracurricular activities.
RESTROOM PASSES: I do not give restroom passes. I will count you tardy for taking too long in the restroom.
TUTORING: Tutoring will be from 3:30 to 4:00 pm Monday – Thursday. Tutorials will also be used for make-up work, redoing assignments, and late work.
*****NOTE: If the Blinn class is still in session, do not knock or disturb the class. Wait QUIETLY outside and I will open the door when we are done.

CLASSROOM RULES and BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS: I expect good behavior at all times. I will maximize class time for learning and practicing what we are learning. I do not tolerate behavior that interrupts my teaching and the learning of the students in the classroom. When time is given to work on homework, students are to work independently. They are not to disturb other students. If there are questions, feel free to raise your hand and ask in front of the class or come to my desk and ask individually. I will not reteach to a student that deliberately ignores the lesson instruction during class to sleep, work on makeup work, or another class’s work.
