Keys to Success:

  • Check agendas/folders daily
  • Read nightly (20 minutes)
  • Homework due on Fridays
  • Have a grown-up check homework before turning it in
  • Complete homework early and ask questions before due date
  • Study: Fry Sight Words, Study Guides, and missed questions on assignments

Suggestions: Read aloud, read a novel together as a family, talk about reading at the dinner table.

There is often a reading slump in fourth grade, which is approximately the same time that most parents stop reading to their children. I plan on reading aloud to your child OFTEN... to model, to bond, and to help them expand their vocabularies! I recently read Bringing Up Bookmonsters. I highly recommend to all parents!!

I’m Mrs. Gibson! I love teaching and am excited to work with students and parents collaboratively. Reading is a passion and I cannot wait to share that passion with the children. This is my 12th year teaching and my eighth year in Weimar.  I am so thrilled to be a Weimar Wildcat!

I am married to my amazingly supportive husband, Kel, who is a Houston Firefighter. We have been married nine years and have a dog, cat, a kindergartener, and an almost two year old! I am originally from San Angelo, Texas where I also went to college; GO RAMS!

I help facilitate the Weimar Youth Soccer Club and I also work and volunteer for the

Girl Scouts during the summers at

Camp Mitre Peak in West Texas.

Howdy! My name is Kendra Tucker and I am so excited to be in Weimar. I will be teaching 4th grade science and social studies and can't wait to meet all my new students and parents for the upcoming year. I graduated years ago from Texas A&M with a Bachelors of Science in Microbiology and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. I left veterinary medicine behind and taught in Manor for several years and then Dripping Springs. I then had an opportunity to work in the Newborn Screening Lab at the Texas Department of State Health Services Public Health Laboratory performing routine genetic screenings for the babies of Texas.

I am happy to now have the opportunity to head back into the classroom to share my excitement of science and social studies!! Outside of work I enjoy playing with my dog and up-cycling old furniture.
