All About Me

Weimar is my hometown.  I graduated from Weimar High in 2001. Then I attended the University of Houston and received my Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.  I have been teaching for 14 years and all of my 14 years have been at Weimar Elementary.

My husband, Geoff and I have been married for 18 years. We have two wonderful daughters, Maya and Cayla.  They will both be attending Weimar High School this year.  My family and I love living in the country. We enjoy spending time outside with our many pets.

I am so excited to start another school year and can’t wait to see all of you.  We are going to grow and learn together.

Affectionately Yours*

Hi there! My name is Rachael Blasig and I couldn’t be more excited to teach second grade at Weimar Elementary this year! I grew up in Bellville, TX and graduated from Bellville High School in 2009. After graduating high school, I earned my associates degree in sociology at Blinn, then bachelors of science with a major in psychology at UHV and finished my teaching certification. I have been working in education for a combined total of eleven wonderful years. I knew at a young age that working with children was my passion - I love that I am able to help shape young minds and make a difference in their lives! I have been married for almost twelve amazing years. My husband, Scott, and I have two handsome sons together - Eli and Maddox. In my free time I love to craft, cook, and spend time with my family. I’m so excited to begin my journey at WES and see what this school year has in store!

Affectionately Yours*
